Controls

The shutter button at the top right will take a picture or start or stop a video recording. After taking a photo or video, it will be displayed in a view where you can share it with the

icon, change the effect with the

icon, or delete it with the

icon.

Other controls in the main view:

Switch between taking photo and video mode. In video mode the icon will change to

and the shutter button will be red.

Switch between the rear-facing and front-facing cameras.

Choose the effect to apply. This icon will show a view displaying all available effects. Touch the effect you want to activate, or use the back button to return without changing the effect. Selecting a "Custom" effect allows you to create your own color scheme by choosing the background color and the edge color at each corner.

Show all photos and videos you have taken.

Open the settings screen where you can set options of text effects, and enable automatically creating images that you take with the standard camera app.

Toggle high quality mode, which shows camera images in the main view at a higher resolution but may be slower. This does not affect the resolution of pictures that you take.

Select an existing picture to import.

NOTE: Video recordings can be very large. Every frame is stored uncompressed (so that you can go back and apply different effects), and depending on how quickly your device can process and store frames this can use 5 megabytes or more per second.
